It has been a fruitful year for the Institute’s Library Club.There were new initiatives started by student-librarians, and many activities were held in conjunction with Institute celebrations and events, starting with the move into the present Bukit Batok campus library.

There were opportunities for the student-librarians to initiate new ways of carrying out events/programmers, such as the recruitment exercise as well as the installation/farewell ceremony for the incoming and outgoing student-librarians respectively.

From March to April 2007, the club organised visits to the National Library Board to familiarise student-librarians with the available online databases and print resources.

In May 2007 ,the club also started the ‘Reach, Read & Reap’ Project to encourage students to read and recommend books that they have read to the rest of the school population.

There was much collaboration with relevant departments to bring about the better understanding of cultures in the form of book displays. In total, four book displays were held to commemorate with Chinese New Year, Total Defence Day, Earth Week and International Friendship Day. An exhibition depicting the history of early immigrants was also held in the library.
