Under the coaching and the guidance and support from our teachers in 2009, the MI Volleyball Girls’ team participated in the 2009 National ‘A’ Division tournament. The girls achieved the 4th position in the preliminary round. Although they did not manage to get into the semi-finals, the girls are determined to do well in the competition next year.

This year, Millennia Institute saw the formation of the boys’ Volleyball team. Despite being a new team, our Volleyball boys endured countless rigorous training sessions and have exposed themselves to several friendly matches. These have helped them to identify their strengths and weaknesses in their volleyball skills.

As both the Boys’ and Girls’ teams are determined to do well in the National ‘A’ Division tournament next year, they went beyond their usual trainings and witnessed the Beach Volleyball tournament during the Youth Olympics Games 2009 to observe how to enhance their technical efficiency.

Going forward to 2010, the Boys’ and Girls’ Volleyball teams hope to do the Institute proud by making advancements in their Inter-colleges standing.
