2009 was a promising year for the Millennia Institute Floorball Team. Both the boys and girls’ teams have grown tremendously from the year before in terms of skills and camaraderie. The year also marked a fresh start with the appointment of new coaches, Mr Timothy Quek and Mr Mohamad Sharil Bin Ismail for the boys and girls’ teams respectively. Of note is that both coaches are highly respected and well-known in the floorball community. 

The team has also trained hard  for the National ‘A’ Division Tournament. Even though the Millenians were up against elite teams that consisted of combined school players, the teams never gave up. For instance, the boys’ team took a 2-goal lead against 2008 reigning champions RJC before eventually drawing with them 2-2. This exemplified the great progress made by the boys’ team. Both teams continued to persevere and saw improvement with every game.

2010 will be a great year to look forward to.  The teams will be working harder by having intensive training over the holidays to increase our chances of showing better results next year. The undying spirit of the teams will burn even stronger next year!
