2009 had been an eventful year for the MI basketball team. Our  boys team not only emerged as zone champions, they also put up a good fight before conceding defeat to stronger opponents HCI and IJC in the quarterfinals. The girls team also displayed commendable effort by showcasing their talent and skills in matches they played in.

Due to the H1N1 influenza outbreak, trainings and many tournaments were cancelled, which resulted in the loss of valuable learning experiences.  To prepare for the coming year, the MI basketball team has dedicated precious time to train daily from 8-11am during weekdays to make up for lost training sessions. With the increase in training sessions, we believe that the team’s spirit and bonding will be taken to greater heights.

Some players were also given great opportunities to attend refereeing, first-aid and leadership courses to take on different roles within this CCA. Upon undergoing these development courses, the players managed to put their knowledge into good practice as they serve in their teams.
