About MI - Our Departments

The Arts programme at Millennia Institute (MI) is intended for students who have keen interest in the disciplines of Art, Geography and History.  Pupils can pursue their academic interests either at the H1 or H2 levels for each of their selected courses of study in the Institute.

Art candidates will be provided with learning opportunities to broaden their engagement in the visual arts.

Geography candidates will study how physical processes continuously re-shape our planet and men's activities in transforming the Earth we live in.

History candidates will study regional and international development in the 20th century to gain a deeper understanding of international and regional perspectives on these strategic relationships.

The Arts programmes at Millennia Institute (MI) recognise the importance of experiential learning beyond the school walls in the field, providing students with authentic learning both locally and abroad. These programmes will also offer a diverse range of learning activities in the classroom through interactive discussions and approaches, research projects, internships and relevant attachments to develop students' creative and inventive skills.

"We live in the present, and the past is important in teaching us vital lessons through the stories of others, and the momentous events of the world how we can better live out our future. The focus of the history programme then at Millennia Institute is a study of regional and international developments, to give us insights of the complexities of regional and international relations, to help Singapore students understand the global village and what role they can play to create a better tomorrow.
