Millennia Institute (MI) welcomes Argentina and Guinea-Bissau sporting teams to Singapore for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in 2010.
The vision of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is to inspire young people around the world to participate in sport and live by the Olympic values.
The Youth Olympic Games is a sporting event for young people worldwide, balancing sport, culture and education. Young athletes in participating countries will also be joining Culture and Education Programme (CEP) that will focus on five major themes:‘Olympism and Olympic Values’, ‘Skills Development’, ‘Well-being and Healthy Lifestyle’, ‘Social Responsibility’ and ‘Expression through Digital Media’.
The first-ever Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore will bring together approximately 3,600 athletes and 1,450 officials. Singapore is honored to host the inaugural Youth Olympic Games. For more information, please log on to: http://www.singapore2010.sg/
