About MI - About MI

Millennia Institute (MI) was formed in January 2004 as a result of the merger of Jurong Institute and Outram Institute. Under the leadership of Mr Tan Chor Pang (Principal) and Mr Mohd Azman Bin Mohd Sidek (Vice Principal), the institute currently operates at Bukit Batok West Avenue 8. This is a new campus complete with JC-equivalent facilities including the sports complex with a running track and an astro-turf hockey pitch.

MI is the only centralized institute providing a 3-year GCE 'A' Level programme. In addition, MI also offers a dual track education path to capable and well-disciplined students who opt to complete the 'A'  levels and earn a diploma concurrently. Currently, MI students are given the option to enrol in the Diploma in Business Administration (Business, Travel & Tourism), Diploma in Enterprise Management, Diploma in Business Management. or the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) courses. These programmes, by themselves, offer direct admission to overseas universities with local branches in Singapore. In the case of CAT, students can join the ACCA professional programme. Admission to these universities and professional programmes will be on an advanced standing with credit waivers.

The key distinctive features of MI are the well paced GCE 'A' Level programme, the close rapport between students and teachers and the predominantly classroom-based curriculum delivery. Class sizes are small, averaging 26.

Beyond the classroom, MI also seeks to enrich the learning experience of our students through programmes for Cultural & Performing Arts, Student Development, Pastoral Care, Work Attachment and Overseas CIP Trips.
