Most parents are deeply concerned about their children’s future. This session, conducted on Parents' Day focuses on the qualities that characterizes a successful teenager and how you can prepare your children for it.

Parents' Day on 30th July 2010

MI will be holding our Parents’ Day on 30th July 2010, Friday. The objective of this event is to allow Home Tutors to share with parents their child/ward’s performance in the Promotional Examination 1. There will also be a talk for all parents as part of our School Family Education Programme. The details are as follows:

MI wins the Joint HPB-MOE Cherish Award 2010 (Silver)

For the second year running, Health Promoting Schools (HPS) are recognised for their efforts in promoting the physical, social, mental and emotional well-being of all students, staff and the school community through this Award.

Out of the 16 Junior Colleges / Centralised Institute entries, Millennia Institute (MI) emerged as one of the deserving winners in the ‘Silver Award’ category. In total, there are two ‘Gold Award’, nine ‘Silver Award’ and five ‘Bronze Award’ recipients this year.

The Joint HPB-MOE CHERISH Award framework was introduced to schools in 2007. With MOE’s strong support, the number of schools receiving the Joint HPB-MOE CHERISH Award increased from 289 in 2008 to 315 in 2010.

SPEA PE Teacher Award (Merit)

kok chiow1 Millennia Institute congratulates our Sports Secretary, Mr Chua Kok Chiow for winning the Singapore Physical Education Association (SPEA) PE Teacher Merit Award (Secondary/JC Category) 2010! The award is given out once every two years to recognise the oustanding contributions PE teachers have made to the development and promotion of PE in Singapore. Well Done, Mr Chua!

YOG Announcement

MI students will be involved one way or another in some of the programmes organised by the YOG committee.
This may result in lessons being affected during the YOG period : 14th Aug to 26th Aug 2010.
Be assured that necessary arrangements and adjustments in lesson schedule will be made by teachers to ensure that the curriculum is not compromised.
